2018 is the year. Barcelona is the location. Tim Hyde is the 

owner of Pop Cathedral (which didn't exist yet). While on vacation

in Barcelona, Tim Hyde had a tour in the La Sagrada Familia and 

had an out of body experience when seeing the stained glass 

windows while inside. It took his breath away. The colors were 

incredibly vivid and bright. The imagery was clear and told a story.

Ideas were considered and his brain was working on overtime.

Fast forward to October 2023 in the Cotswolds, United Kingdom. 

Tim was on a tour with his father and brother. Tim stepped away to 

use the WC (Too much morning caffeine!) and returned to find himself

alone in the church. While walking around and reading plagues and 

checking out the amazing tilework on the floor, a ray of sunlight

cut through the stained glass and onto Tim's face. It came to him, what if these amazing stained glass windows were filled with modern icons and 

idols that on goers 100 years from now, would deem as important historical figures. What if they were important figures in Pop Culture

that are relevant today. Music Legends. Movie Star Icons. Heroes. 

That small church in Castle Combe, England changed Tim's life forever.

 

The Pop Cathedral was born.
